New Youth Training Centre in Tanzania 

In September 2009, DSW opened its third Training Centre in Tanzania, which hosts the DSW Country Office in Tanzania and provides a range of services to youth serving organizations in the field of adolescent sexual and reproductive health.

In addition to the training facilities, the Training Centre runs an information and documentation centre where youth can access both written and electronic reference materials, and a small computer centre with internet access.

From the outset, young people have been involved in the design and construction of the Training Centre as a one-stop platform for information, education, documentation and exchange on youth and development issues. In addition to the facilities offered to young people, specialized trainings targeting youth serving organizations, policy implementers and decision makers will be provided from now on. In addition to that, the training Centre will serve as a venue for other organisations to conduct workshops, seminars, meetings and conferences. 

Like DSW's Training Centres in Uganda and Ethiopia, the DSW Youth Training Centre in Tanzania prioritizes reproductive health trainings while offering a variety of training products in other areas, such as income generating activities for young people, experiential learning methodologies, Gender, young people living with HIV, training on youth friendly service provision, youth and action advocacy at community levels, environment and sustainable development, resource mobilization,
leadership and participative decision making, HIV/AIDS mainstreaming for private companies and development for HIV/AIDS work place policies.
